Trained in architecture as well as the fine arts at the Rhode Island School of Design, Bruce Bierman brings a unique perspective to each design project. His work epitomizes an East Coast style–sophisticated but understated interiors that are the result of deep-seated practical knowledge in the service of a carefully refined aesthetic. This has become the hallmark of Bruce Bierman Design, the firm he founded in 1984, which specializes in residential and commercial projects worldwide.
Recent Bierman projects include a 15,000-square-foot residence in Greenwich, Connecticut, a town house and artist’s studio on New York City’s Upper East Side, a penthouse at The Breakers Hotel, Palm Beach, and a 3,500 penthouse loft in Chelsea. Bierman has received extensive acclaim from his peers as well as from the design press. A member of the Interior Design Hall of Fame since 2000, he has also been named one of “The Top 10 Designers to Watch” and “America’s Most Brilliant Decorators A-Z” by House Beautiful.
