Sometimes referred to as “The Queen of Soft Modern,” Laura Bohn strives to create a comfortable atmosphere using a well-edited approach developed by Laura Bohn Design Associates, the New York-based international interior design consulting firm she founded in 1980. Bohn will often set unexpected hues and shapes together to give rooms depth and richness that is not easily replicated. An ability to forecast current design trends and interpret client´s needs has made her a respected New York design authority.
LBDA projects have gained media attention, attracting clients as far as Europe, Japan and Saudi Arabia. The work of Laura Bohn has been featured on television programs such as CNN Style, A&E, Interiors by Design and HGTV, and has been presented in countless books and magazines. Bohn, a graduate of Pratt Institute, also serves as a visiting critic at local design schools and has long played an active role in the design community. She has received two Roscoe awards for her fabric and wallpaper designs and was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 1998.
