Treatment Action Group, an invaluable AIDS research and policy think tank fighting for a vaccine and a cure for the disease, is holding its annual Research in Action Awards event in the early evening of Sunday, December 15. Honorees this year are Anderson Cooper, Olympia Dukakis, and Dr. Joseph Sonnabend. I’ll be there in full support of this important and inspiring organization and I hope you’ll consider attending too. Congratulations to Glenn Gissler for winning the 2013 New York Cottages & Gardens Innovation in Design Award for the Interior Design category.
Glenn won with an Upper West Side apartment he designed for an empty-nester couple who were returning to the city after years raising a family in the suburbs.
For the couple, who have a growing art collection, Glenn achieved his goal of creating “a new, stimulating environment that reflects their values.” As the judges put it, the resulting interiors are “cultured, sophisticated, crisp, and inviting.” Glenn’s winning project is featured in the October issue of NYC&G.
